Sony: as seen on TV
Sony's arrogance during the launch of the PS3 and the PSP is well deserved due to the fact that the PS2 is still selling units. The system should be an old brick much like my Xbox, but noooo its still ticking. Regardless, the chip on Sony's shoulder this time last year was more of a cow pie as they scoffed at the Wii and Gears of War. Fast forward(Prince of Persia style) 4 months and Gears crushed Resistance and the Wii shit on everyone. Sony stood by their statements and "figures" and didn't advertise outside of their scary baby adds and kept their head down.
After a two punches in the stomach (Spring, Summer), Sony decided to actually spend some money and make some recognizable commercials. I'm a big fan of the blend between hi-end 3-d into the in-game footage. This instantly creates a bond in the viewers head between the system and games on it. Sounds simple but Sony has blown it up until now. Congratulations Sony on advertising your product correctly, now maybe we can make our controllers rumble and talk to each other during game play.
This is the 3rd party Ps3 trailer featuring Metal Gear 4. No better way to sell the "Metal Gear Player" better than Metal Gear.
Big fan of the PSP commercial as well. Take that Michel Gondry

While we're on Sony ads, Ratchet & Clank has always had great commercials and the one for Tools of Destruction is different from the old live action ones but just as satisfying.
Also check out the commercial for Uncharted.
